Dr. Hussein El Ghor is a full professor at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Engineering in Beirut. His multidisciplinary research spans cybersecurity, real-time and embedded systems, blockchain, and machine learning. He has contributed to advanced scheduling algorithms for energy-harvesting systems and explores security paradigms in wireless networks and decentralized systems. His recent works include a blockchain‑based framework for trustworthy social networks (MENACOMM 2025). El Ghor is committed to advancing cybersecurity education and research in Lebanon and internationally.

History Of Beginning

  • 2002: Earned Engineering Degree from Lebanese University
  • 2009–2012: Researcher at IRCCyN Lab (Nantes, France); PhD in applied informatics
  • Post-2012: Returned to Lebanon; joined Lebanese University as faculty; became full professor
  • 2025: Appointed Head of Research Center for Computer Science & AI at MUBS/CEIDR
